Not Just Any Trophy

When we started our 2020 Summer League we felt a deep commitment to make sure the experience was special. So many local young athletes had seen their season essentially wrecked before it even started. Working with the Town of Larkspur to replace some of what had been lost has truly been a special experience.

Every detail was important to us...especially the championship plaques.

We engaged a local craftsman/artist to develop something truly unique. Matt Zien is a US Air Force Combat Veteran. His life was changed forever when he was medically discharged from the military. Yet he had the courage to build a truly unique business combining his skills as a woodworker and his passion for our country.

Matt puts everything he has into his projects because he wants people to know that when you own something he's made; it’s not a poorly built, meaningless, and mindlessly manufactured product. It’s a piece of his past and his future. It's his strength and purpose. It’s a source of motivation and determination for his continued recovery. His goal is that what he builds becomes a symbol of strength and happiness, and a reminder to cherish every single moment in life. It’s an heirloom to be passed down from generation to generation, helping create memories that will hopefully help bring families closer.

At Front Range Baseball we love Matt's story and his craftsmanship. We are certain our event champions and finalists will be proud to hang the awards they have earned in a special place in their home.
