Front Range Baseball Summer League 2020

The Colorado youth baseball community had begun to ramp up for Spring tournaments and league play all across the state as the weather began to warm in late February. By March we were all shell shocked at the notion of losing an entire month of baseball. April came and went without the soundtrack of ball games being played or practices being held several times a week. Dozens of teams began to cancel their seasons as concern for health and well being became the primary focus of our lives.

Front Range Baseball decided to try and do something to salvage the season. What began as a simple effort to get a few youth teams the chance to add competition to their schedule evolved into a full league offering. Opening day for our first season began on June 23rd for 12 local youth baseball teams on a 14 game season that will be followed by a bracket play tournament championship.

The most important element of our ability to offer this league was the assistance provided by the Mayor and Town Council of Larkspur. The emphasis on health and safety was the main concern to address. With their assistance we were able to carefully craft a plan to meet the requirements of all Public Health Orders and launch our league.

The future of youth baseball in Larkspur looks bright! We will be announcing our Fall League offering and 2020 tournament slate very soon.
